Performance of Electrocoagulation Process Using Iron and Aluminum Electrodes with and without Perforations

چکیده

Electrocoagulation process is widely used for the removal of pollutants from industrial wastewater. In present study, an attempt was made to investigate performance electrocoagulation using alu-minum and iron electrodes treat metal ions in synthetic galvanic The are with without perforations it observed that efficiency perforation (80 %) higher than (50 %). heavy increased retention time direct current. optimized values residence time, voltage, pH, current, electrode spacing were 160 min, 6 V, 5, 0.2 A, 3 cm, respectively. maximum percentage nickel copper perforated 90.7 % 86.0 %, respectively, chromium a combination aluminum 93.1 %. followed pseudo second order kinetic model current dependent parameters.
